A native of Opelousas, Dr. Gillespie graduated from Creighton University in Omaha, NE, was a post Baccalaureate Research Associate at the University of Nebraska Medical Center and was awarded his MD from LSU School of Medicine. He is a resident in anesthesiology with a chronic pain subspecialty track from Charity Hospital in New Orleans. He is a member of the American Academy of Pain Medicine, American Academy of Pain Management, North American Spine Society, International Headache Society, Society for Pain Practice Management, Louisiana State Medical Society and Lafayette Parish Medical Society.
