THOMAS V. BERTUCCINI, MD, FACS - A native of New Haven, Connecticut, Dr. Bertuccini graduated from St. Vincent College, Latrobe, PA and was awarded his MD from Creighton University School of Medicine in Omaha, NE. He completed his residency in neurological surgery at the Barrow Neurological Institute, Phoenix, AZ, with additional studies at the University of Western Ontario and the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Neurological Surgery, Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, Fellow of the Stroke Council of the American Heart Association, member of the Congress of Neurological Surgeons, North American Skull Base Society, New York Academy of Sciences, Southern Neurosurgical Society, Louisiana Neurosurgical Society, Louisiana State Medical Society and the Lafayette Parish Medical Society. He currently serves as Medical Director and Chairman of the Board of Managers of Lafayette Surgical Specialty Hospital.
ALAN J. APPLEY, MD, FACS - A native of southern California, Dr. Appley earned his B.A., Cum Laude, from Franklin and Marshall College in Lancaster, PA and his MD from Tulane University School of Medicine in New Orleans, where he was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. He did his neurosurgical residency at LA County/USC Medical Center. He is a clinical assistant professor of Neurosurgery at Tulane University School of Medicine. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Neurological Surgery and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He is a member of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons, Congress of Neurological Surgeons, American Society for Stereotactic and Functional Neurosurgery the North American Spine Society, the American Medical Association, Louisiana State Medical Society and Lafayette Parish Medical Society.
LUIS C. DE ARAUJO, MD, FACS - A native of Brazil, Dr. de Araujo received his MD from Federal University of Rio De Janiero and completed his residency in neurosurgery at Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York, NY. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Neurological Surgery, a member of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons, the Congress of Neurological Surgeons, New York Academy of Sciences, the American Association for Advancement of Science, Louisiana Neurological Society, Louisiana State Medical Society and Lafayette Parish Medical Society.
STEPHEN GOLDWARE, MD, FACS - Dr. Goldware received his B.A. and MD from Tulane University in New Orleans and has spent most of his life in Louisiana. He completed his residency training in Neurological Surgery at the University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City, KS. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Neurological Surgery, a fellow of the North American Spine Society, a member of the Congress of Neurological Surgeons, the American Association of Neurological Surgeons, the American College of Surgeons, the American Medical Association, the Southern Neurosurgical Society, the Louisiana Neurosurgical Society, the Louisiana State Medical Society and the Lafayette Parish Medical Society. Dr. Goldware has been recognized as one of the best doctors in America.
PATRICK A. JUNEAU III, MD - Dr. Juneau received his B.S. from LSU and his MD from Tulane University School of Medicine. He completed his residency in Neurosurgery at Vanderbilt University Medical Center and was Senior Resident and Chief Resident at Harvard Medical School, Brigham and Women’s and Children’s Hospitals. He was awarded the Harvey Cushing History of Neurosurgery Fellowship at Harvard Medical School and the Army Commendation Medal as a Major in the US Army Reserve Medical Corps. He is a clinical assistant professor of Neurosurgery at LSU School of Medicine in Shreveport and Tulane University School of Medicine. He is certified as a Diplomate of the American Board of Neurological Surgery, and is a member of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons (AANS), Congress of Neurological Surgeons (CNS), Society of Brigham Surgical Alumni, Louisiana State Medical Society and Lafayette Parish Medical Society. Dr. Juneau has been selected as one of America’s Top Surgeons in the Consumer’s Research Council of America’s Guide to America’s Top Surgeons.
RICARDO R. LEONI, MD - Dr. Leoni received his B.S. and MD from Ohio State University, and completed his internship and residency training, with specialties in both general and neurological surgery at the University of Texas Medical Center branch in Galveston, TX. He is a member of the Congress of Neurological Surgeons, the American Association of Neurological Surgery, the Singleton Surgical Society, the Joint Section of Neurotrauma & Critical Care, the Louisiana Neurological Society, the Louisiana State Medical Society and the Lafayette Parish Medical Society.
